RAMEN WHAT?





Just past wednesday, baby and i went to Bishan
to scout for dinner (unintentionally).


okay, he ended work earlier than usual
so we met up there since i was otw home from work.
we couldn't decide what to eat and so
we ended up having this new competitor for the Ramen Restuarants...



RAMEN PLAY



They had an outlet at RWS.
we were contemplating to have it on our first night there
but we ended up in Ruyi...
anyway, food in Ruyi wasn't that bad.
it had me satisfied with the Lu Rou Fan.
and again. the thought of it, is making me crave for it.
and the thought of RWS, reminds me of the damn dope popcorn again.
urgh...



anyway, let's get back to Ramen Play.

here's what we ordered...














First Pic: our drinks. He had this redbull orange drink that's pretty sourish. not bad. while i don't what's mine, there's jelly inside but i don't quite like the taste.
Verdict:the redbull orange is better.


2nd Pic: Prawn cake? It's compliments from DBS i supposed. Should you order any 2 bowls of Ramen/Rice and pay by DBS/POSB cards, you'll get it for free.
Verdict: taste actually not bad. i quite like it except for the 'powdery' feel which i have no idea where it came from.


3rd Pic: Dango Balls, Takoyaki style. Don't be deceived! It's not takoyaki. it's simply MEAT BALLS, cooked in takoyaki style. i kinda satisfy a lil' of my takoyaki craving which i have been having for weeks. it's PURE meatballs, complete with Teriyaki sauce, Mayo and fish flakes.
Verdict: Not bad! Quite like.


4th Pic: my main course, some chef recommended Ramen, on the very first page of the menu? Features 2 or 3 different types of meat. and the Super Authentic Ramen Egg, which is super DOPE! the meat is also super DOPE, i pressume it's the pork belly which is not 'fatty' at all. BUT BUT BUT... the ramen and soup... somehow both baby and myself felt that it tasted like Bedok 85 Bak Chor Mee...
Verdict: Not bad. Acceptable. Though somehow i think St James Wine Bar has better Ramen? but the meat and egg is really great.


5th Pic: his main course, Pork Cutlet Fried Rice... without spring onions for him. taste very typical... but a lil' oily.
Verdict: Normal. Ding Tai Fung offers BETTER fried rice.

Lemon Tea




As promised, i'm gonna blog about lemon tea today.
in fact, i'm running out of time to blog
but it's a promised made. so i have to keep my promise!


i can't help but i have to say this.
i'm very very very very extremely busy at work nowadays.
so i'm truely deeply sorry for the delay in update hours.
but i will still try my very best to blog each working day.





Okay now...


Lemon tea. As my blog suggest, i'm also known as Lemon.
so to say, i'm a lover for lemonly stuff.
this includes my all time favourite Lemon Tea.


and so.... Lemon Tea
it has been around for so so long...
ever since i was a kid... dad introduced me to Lemon Tea.
i remember my very FIRST encounter with Lemon Tea...
it was a Sunday, at KFC.

Dad was telling me: You've got to try this. It's a better thirst quencher compared to soft drinks. Best of all, it's not gassy. It won't make you feel so gassy after that.


and so... the rest is history.
from then on, i tried Lemon Tea from different brands.
and i fell in love with the long time champion...





Seasons Ice Lemon Tea.


speaking of which, i miss their old packaging. serious.


BUT... i super dislike drink the same brand, Seasons Ice Lemon Tea
in our neighbouring country - Malaysia.
I have no idea why... but the Seasons Ice Lemon Tea there taste WEIRD.
and it does not interest me in any way.
in fact, i HATE it.

I love... Seasons Ice Lemon Tea in Singapore.

but of late... there has been an invasion.
and i'm very against it.
cos i've tried this brand of Lemon Tea, and i really do not like it.
it has a off Lemon Tea taste.
and the worst of all, it is invading LOTS of coffeeshops, foodcourt etc.
Even fastfood chains.
i guess it could be the pricing differences?
maybe this brand offers a lower retail price to fastfood outlets?

personally, it's subjective here...
I HATE LOATHE it to bits.

it has given me alot of difficulties to have my regular meals
accompanied by my favourite drinks.
and i hate the fact that i ALWAYS have to ask the drink vendor the same question.

"Excuse me, do you carry Ice Lemon Tea - Seaons brand"?

and super dislike when they tell me...

"Eh, don't have. Only that brand".


so what's the irritating brand... ?




May i present to you... (in my opinion), the most loathesome brand of Lemon Tea...




















YES. Heaven and Earth Brand.

i have nothing against this brand.
their green tea is okay (though Pokka is still the best, followed by JJ's japanese green tea).
but i can't stand their Lemon Tea.

HATE IT MAX!!!!

1 Year Anniversary





Okay, like the previous post on the Phuket trip,
this post will be a picture galore.
of course, likewise, i won't be posting ALL the pics here.
Just about 10% of them.
Yes, i took 200 pics this time, till my cam went flat.



Basically, with compliments from JOS, our trip was 98% sponsored.
the remainig 2% were top up payment via cash...
in celebration for the name of L.O.V.E
our FIRST year together.
so... let us have the pictures do the talking....



We arrived at RWS bus bay on 20 Feb noon...




on the way up to check-in.

After checking in, and checking the room out, we proceed to Underwater World!




On the way out, we bypass the pool... it's so CHIO lor!




Saw the staff there feeding stingray. and almost shocked myself to death.
Sting Rays eat by SUCKING.



and they came so close to u.
like they're gonna suck u!!! *SCREAM*



The pink dolphins were on LEAVE that day.
they were doing some maintanence, hence no pink dolphin show.
*sulks*

but we were able to venture to the pool...
pardon me. I HAVE NO IDEA THEY SHIFTED.
I still had the idea that pink dolphin show is at Tanjong Beach lor!!!
well anyways, yeah. they are now next to Underwater World.
and we managed to snap some pics of them... swimming.





By nightfall, we were strolling around and we tried this DAMN SUPER DOPE popcorn that my boss have been saying.
She even said that, after eating this popcorn, all other popcorn outside are simply of NO ATTRACTION to her.




we tried the mixed flavored: cheese and caramel.
Verdit: DOPE SHTY. CARAMEL ROCKS MAX!

and ya, now i'm craving for it lo. *sulks*



we waited for the free nightly performance - Crane Dance.
it was a short 10 mins show. but awesomely magnificant. <3








the story was about 2 cranes, falling in love.


after the show, we walked around a lil' more and snapped pics.










so we ended the nite back at hotel.

next day was check out after breakfast and Universal Studios thereafter!!!

Upon walking in, you will be able to see the big time, BattleStar Galactica.





Took a left turn to Madagascar world.





Then to far away land? (Shrek's world to be exact)





The Lost World...




we did most stuff at the lost world.
There was this Water World 'live' show. which was fantasticly stage with all the effects... e.g. gun fire, explosives etc.





then to Eygpt...





we took the Revenge of Mummy ride.
it was in pitch darkness. SCARY and FAST. <3


manage to catch a nice view of USS.





then of course to Sci-Fi City for the Battlestar Galactica rides.
took both Human and Cylone.


MEGA LOVES.



then to New York City & Hollywood next...










We also caught this Special Effects attraction which is really AMAZING.

it has been a super fabulous day spent there.
great fun & learning experience...
if only we can have more time to play the rides more than 1 time each.

Back to Reality




Hello!

i'm back.
yes, back to work.
back to the harsh reality.

why harsh reality?
cause, there's gonna be major changes at work.
not like really change kind of change.
it's actually ADDITIONAL WORKLOAD
on top of what i'm currently doing.



saw that i've been busy since then?
now, i'm going to be much more busy than before.
and yes i can foresee that.

baby brought me to this Lao Hong Kong Cafe at Katong area?
cause i've been telling him that the serve nice fried big intestines
and he had been wanting to bring me there since we came back from Phuket?
So here we are...

i saw this Mei Cai Kou Rou on the menu and i canot resist it....






and here's the famous... ZA DA CHANG!





baby dun normally take pig organs but i persuaded him to try this.
and he said it's actually not bad?
but... kway chap taste.


4 dishes, i only love the Za Da Chang
The Mei Cai Kou Rou's Rou was a bit tad too TOUGH.
and the Mei Cai got a lil' out of taste at the bottom.
Verdict: 3.5 stars.



On a random note, we bought liquor when we return from Phuket
and i didn't take pics of them!

we also bought 6 cans of beer but 4 cans already down in his tummy.
perhaps, flushed out long ago too. woops.


over the weekend, we celebrated our 1 Anniversary.
which is also the 'final happening' for us in the lovely month of Feb.
We went to RWS for celebration, with compliments from JOS.
we took lots of pics but i have not uploaded any.

we were at RWS last sunday to grab tix for this coming Monday's USS trip.
Kiasu. or wat...
it was adviced by RWS themselves to grab tix 5 days in advance
so we got it 1 week in advance lo.

was suppose to grab it on saturday.
but after coming back from Phuket and busy with the fishes.
it sort of slipped our mind.
and we only remembered it otw to boiler.
hahahaha.


i'm excited. i'm looking forward!
tomorrow is saturday.
i'm having Fibre broadband installation at home.
then sunday is check-in. and monday USS.
what do i have here?

not really long to say. last week was even longer.
and feb is finishing so fast!


on a random thought, i just remembered,

with a CD of 2 songs.
being so excited about Phuket... of course, we forgotten totally 'bout it.
and it was on Tuesday, when baby fetch me home
then we remembered it upon hearing Jay's song...
and so, Wednesday we went to grab it.
sad to say AMK said Sold-Out!

but baby didn't give up. we went to Bishan, Popular.
and YES! WE FOUND IT!!!!

*we already check out of the hotel but our bags where still with them. After our ATV session, we're both covered with sand and seriously dirty and sweaty!!! after collecting our bags, we sneak up to top level (the jacuzzi area), where there are shower rooms for a quick shower. Thank goodnes we went up to explore the day before!
and yes, we went back much cleaner. haha.*
